Our club

Your safety

Established in 1990, Waverley Woodworkers is a centre for all who have an interest in woodwork as a hobby and wish to belong to a community of fellow enthusiasts.

  • Open 7 days a week, we are a very active community club with over 100 active members.

  • Our members regularly win prizes at various exhibitions and competitions.

  • We have a full range of equipment available for use whatever you're creating.

  • We provide a safe place where local community can gather and create woodcraft items.

  • Members can participate in and contribute to community events or undertake projects that benefit the community.

Thanks to the City of Monash who have constructed a brand new purpose-built facility at the  rear of the Central Reserve grandstand in Glen Waverley. Entering from Springvale Road, follow the road around to the left to the rear of the southern end of the grandstand.

New Members are always welcome. Contact us at waverleywoodworkersinfo@gmail.com or at 0412 988 921

We are committed to maintaining the highest level of safety within the Club. Accordingly, we have a Health & Safety Policy, General Workshop Rules, machine Standard Operating Procedures, and all new members are inducted where the operation of all machines is explained and demonstrated.

To preserve safety at our premises, a Duty Member is present whenever the facility is open. The Duty Member has the full authority to act in a manner they believe appropriate to preserve safety should this be required, machines are used properly, and all appropriate PPE is being worn.
